FoxBurner SDK and HD DVD Recording
The FoxBurner SDK does NOT support HD DVD burning. Pixbyte only supports features that can thoroughly be tested and can be used on devices that either have a certain number of deployment or are expected to have. In case of HD DVD burners, there are even far too few devices available that we could use to develop and test HD DVD features. Based on an extremely low number of test devices we would not dare to claim that one of our products supports a certain feature in general. However, we will not enter into the discussion about the Blu-ray and HD DVD standard. Nonetheless, we will not implement and release features that could not be tested on adaquate and representative samples of recording devices. Therefore, it was decided to support Blu-ray features whereas HD DVD features are not to be expected in the near future in a Pixbyte SDK.
